How do In-Ovation braces work?

In-Ovation braces are self-ligating braces. With this orthodontic technology, a specialised clip replaces elastic modules to help the archwire move teeth into place according to the treatment plan designed for you by Dr Sarah. The benefit of this clip is that it keeps the pressure constant on teeth, therefore reducing the number of adjustments because elastic modules don’t need to be replaced.

Why we love In-Ovation braces

In-Ovation braces are smaller in size, low profile and due to their smooth nature, offer enhanced patient comfort.

Being self ligating braces, with In-Ovation we can offer you shorter and fewer appointment times than with more traditional braces. Understanding how busy you are, this gives you more control over your schedule.

In-Ovation braces do not require the traditional elastic module ties to hold the wire in place so this gives you the freedom to have longer appointment intervals, overall shorter treatment times and better oral hygiene

In-Ovation FAQ

You’ll hear us say that braces technology has advanced significantly, which means there are more options depending on your needs, budget, and lifestyle. Dr Sarah is super particular about the braces technology she uses for patients and only uses self ligating treatments like In-Ovation braces. Why? Because it results in less discomfort, shorter treatment times, and fewer appointments.

Self-ligating braces work by using a tiny spring-loaded clip to maintain pressure on archwires. The pressure generated gently adjusts teeth into the desired position.
Remember, however, that self-ligating braces are only as effective as the practitioner in whose hands you find it. Having treated literally thousands of patients with In-Ovation braces, Dr Sarah excels at delivering the very best treatments for complex and simple orthodontic issues.

Before any treatment commences, we take time to understand important details, like your goals, the kind of lifestyle you have, and any concerns. Only then do we get to work on creating a transformational orthodontic treatment. We specialise in bespoke treatments (there are seriously no cookie-cutters at Specialty Orthodontics!). Together with Dr Sarah, you’ll create the exact smile design you’re after whether it’s correction of a longstanding bite or jaw issue or straightening your front teeth for that big event.

Thankfully, braces to straighten teeth have come a long way from what they once were, and self-ligating In-Ovation braces are an excellent example of the advances that make orthodontic treatment more manageable. Apart from being made from the best materials, In-Ovation braces may involve shorter treatment times, longer intervals between appointments, and cleaning teeth is often easier because there are no ligatures in place to trap food around braces.

Like all braces treatment, it’s possible you may experience minor discomfort for a day or two at most after commencing treatment, or after an adjustment, but this should be manageable with over the counter paracetamol. Never feel, however, that you must ‘suffer through’. Our team will provide all the information you need to understand how to manage on your treatment journey, including any discomfort.

Because every patient is unique and receives a tailored treatment plan, costs vary. We strive to offer flexible terms and interest free payment plans, so this is not a barrier for you to get a beautiful smile. It’s impossible to give you an exact cost for your treatment as fees are also influenced by the complexity of treatment.
